The Need for Development
Nationally we are facing a housing crisis as people are living longer and in smaller households. There are not enough homes being built to keep up with demand and as a result there is a need to boost the supply of homes across the country.
Demand for housing in the South Worcestershire area is high. Wychavon District Council need to ensure that the new homes are provided to meet the needs of existing and future residents.
This development will provide up to 215 new open market and affordable new homes to help meet housing needs. The proposals include quality on-site public open space and landscaping. The proposals also make provision for enhancements to existing PRoW’s across the site, including the Millennium Way.
